  • Development engineer in the R&D department of a medium-sized automotive supplier from late 1986 to July 1989
  • PHD (Dr.-Ing.) at the Institute of Plastics Technology, University of Stuttgart
  • Working in the field of intellectual property since 1994
  • Independent patent attorney since 1998
  • Partner at a patent law firm from 1999 to 2025 and since 2002 head of its Stuttgart office
  • Working at his own patent law firm in Stuttgart since 1 January 2026
